As we continue to adapt to servicing the public during the ongoing pandemic, the Bridgeton Social Security office is pleased to offer a new method that allows members of the public to apply for a replacement Social Security card using virtual conferencing software via the Microsoft Teams (MS Teams) platform. By utilizing MS Teams, individuals may see and speak directly to a representative and apply for a replacement Social Security from the safety of their own home, and without the need to mail any documentation to our office.
It is important to note that only certain individuals are eligible to request a replacement Social Security card using this new process. Applicants must:
- Be a US Citizen
- Be age 18 or older
- Have a valid Driver’s License
- Not be requesting to change any information (such as changing a last name due to marriage/divorce, correcting a date of birth, or updating citizenship)
