More and more aluminum cans encased in plastic label sleeves can now be found in today’s beverage marketplace. Please remove these plastic sleeves from your aluminum cans before placing the cans in your recycling bucket, bin or cart. Plastic label sleeves cannot be recycled with aluminum and can even cause fires should they get into the aluminum recycling system. Learn more about recycling at recycle.nj.gov.
