An Ordinance Amending And Supplementing An Ordinance Entitled
“An Ordinance Fixing And Confirming The Salaries And
Compensations Of Certain Appointive And Elective Officers
And Employees Of The Township Of Mannington In The County
Of Salem, New Jersey Beginning January 1, 1968”, Adopted February 22, 1968 And The Amendments And Supplements To Said Ordinance
BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Committee of the Township of Mannington in Salem County, New Jersey as follows:
SECTION 1. The Ordinance set forth by title in the title of this ordinance and amendments and supplements thereto are hereby further amended and supplemented as hereinafter set forth: SECTION 2. Section 1 of said Ordinance as amended and supplemented, is hereby further amended and supplemented as follows:
ADMINISTRATIVE & EXECUTIVE
All Salaries paid the 15th and 30th of each month, except February, which will be paid the 15th and the last day of the month.
Mayor – $8,050 annually
Committeeperson – $7,550 annually
Clerk – $57,147 annually
Deputy Clerk/Deputy Registrar – $29.81 per hour
Safety Coordinator – $1,782 annually
(a) All Township employees classified as part-time clerical and maintenance help appointed by the Township Committee, shall be paid at the rate of $20.00 per hour. Other part-time miscellaneous help appointed by the Township Committee shall be paid at the rate of $15.92 per hour.
FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION
All Salaries paid the 15th and 30th of each month, except February, which will be paid the 15th and the last day of the month.
Chief Financial Officer – $19,663 annually
Treasurer – $9,100 annually
Purchasing Agent – $5,220 annually
TAX COLLECTION AND ASSESSMENT
All Salaries paid the 15th and 30th of each month, except February, which will be paid the 15th and the last day of the month.
Tax Collector – $23,849 annually
Tax Assessor – $21,844 annually
(a) Part-Time Clerical – (a) All Township employees classified as part-time clerical and maintenance help appointed by the Township Committee, shall be paid at the rate of $20.00 per hour. Other part-time miscellaneous help appointed by the Township Committee shall be paid at the rate of $15.92 per hour.
PLANNING/ZONING BOARD
All Salaries paid the 15th and 30th of each month, except February, which will be paid the 15th and the last day of the month.
Secretary, Planning/Zoning Board – $5,108 annually
Zoning Officer – $6,432 annually
Housing Officer – $3,862 annually
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
All Salaries paid the 15th and 30th of each month, except February, which will be paid the 15th and the last day of the month.
Emergency Management Coordinator – $3,322 annually
Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator – $1,957 annually
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
All Salaries paid the 15th and 30th of each month, except February, which will be paid the 15th and the last day of the month.
(a) Foreman – $25.00 per hour
(a) All Township employees classified as full-time UtilityPerson shall be paid in the range of $15.92 per hour, up to a maximum of $24.15 per hour. Salary of temporary (on-call, as needed) Public Works employee shall be paid in the range of $15.92 per hour, up to a maximum of $22.93 per hour.
(b) Truck/Heavy Equipment Operators/Snow Removal, appointed by the Township Committee as temporary help in emergency situations shall be paid at the rate of $30.00 per hour.
SECTION 3. (deleted)
SECTION 4. All other terms and provisions of the said ordinance adopted on February 22, 1968 as amended and supplemented shall be and remain in full force and effect, save only as herein expressly amended, supplemented, or repealed.
SECTION 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith, to the extent of such inconsistencies, be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall take effect and become operative as of January 1, 2026, upon its final passage and publication as required by law; and the provisions of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect until amended, supplemented, or repealed.
